RCR does not solicit donations door to door

It has been brought to our attention that someone claiming to be a Regina Cat Rescue volunteer was soliciting donations door to door throughout Regina over the weekend of June 20-21, 2015. Please be advised that Regina Cat Rescue DOES NOT solicit donations in this manner. We have been in contact with Regina Police Service about this matter. They advised that if you are approached by someone soliciting donations door to door for RCR, please report to the RPS at 306-777-6500 immediately. If you can't report by telephone immediately (within 5 minutes), please visit the RPS (1717 Osler St) in person to make a statement.

Whenever you are approached by someone soliciting donations for charity, please be very skeptical. Do research to see if they are currently conducting a door-to-door campaign, or donate directly at their website or by mailing a cheque directly to the organization. If you want to support RCR, please do so through one of our channels: E-transfer, PayPal, cheque or cash.

UPDATE - More reports of this same activity have been reported on August 11, 2015. Please be vigilant when approached in this manner.
