Extra Support Needed During Summer Peak

Cody is recovering well following a dog attack and enucleation surgery to remove his injured eye but RCR needs help covering the expense of his care.

It's mid summer and prime time for weekends at the beach, a cabin getaway or even just patio parties or lounging on the deck. However, there is no summer vacation for Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) volunteers. Summer is our busiest time with Trap-Neuter-Release in full swing and multiple litters of kittens in care. Our volunteers are busy rescuing cats and raising the funds to pay for their vet care and sterilizations.

Despite our best efforts, we are still short of funds with many more rescues to go before things start to slow down.

While our main focus is on spays/neuters for our many rescued kittens, we are still rescuing many cats of all ages, and some of them need specialized care. Cody is just one example of the many cats we rescue with special needs. The victim of a dog attack, this sweet boy required an enucleation surgery to remove his injured eye. Surgeries like this put added strain on our already stretched resources.

These kittens born to a feral mom are currently undergoing socialization. You can support this important work by sponsoring their spay or neuter.

RCR needs community support to continue to help the over 300 rescues per year that we take off the streets, and are seeking donations to augment our efforts. Please consider making a donation today.

RCR is a registered charity and tax receipts are issued for donations over $25. You can donate by e-transfer, Paypal, cheque or cash. Thanks for your support!

Not in a position to donate? Check to see if your workplace has an Employee Volunteer Grant you can take advantage of, donate your cans and bottles to RCR by dropping them off at 167 Bothwell Cres, organize an event and donate the funds to RCR, volunteer with our Fundraising Committee, work a bingo shift or the Western Pizza booth at the Roughrider games, or direct your United Way donations to RCR. RCR's volunteers, cats and kittens would greatly appreciate anything you can do to help raise funds!
