Not So Happy Holidays for Some RCR Cats

Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) wishes our volunteers, friends and supporters a happy 2017! We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season.

Sadly, there wasn't much to celebrate for several former RCR rescue cats who were returned to our care over the holidays ,through no fault of their own. Reasons given for the surrenders include moving, a marital break-up and the sudden onset of allergies.

We were already short of foster homes, so this meant several of these cats spent the holidays boarding. Not only is this not optimal for the cats, it also adds considerably to the financial strain of rescuing over 450 cats in 2016.

Skylark, Samantha, Nixie, Tomten, Havana (not pictured) and Kitty Soft Paws (not pictured) are now all seeking second chances and new forever homes. If you can help us out by fostering a cat, please contact us at reginacatrescue@gmail.com.  If you would like to make a donation to help care for our rescued cats, please visit our website for the various options: http://www.reginacatrescue.com/donate/
