Background

Elric is a wonderful kitten who has had a bit of a tough life before coming into RCR foster care. He and his siblings were born to a mom who was abandoned in bear country but still managed to keep her babies safe before she came across a vacationing family that she trusted enough to bring Elric and his siblings to. The family was happy to help this amazing mom and her babies and they contacted RCR for help.

Because he was born in the wild, Elric had never met a human before he was 5 weeks old so it took some time to tame Elric and his siblings. Now that he’s been in his foster home for a while he has learned that pets and snuggles from his foster mom are something to enjoy and his huge purr shows how happy he is for the attention. He’s still shy when he meets new people, however, given a bit of time he can be won over.

This fluffy fellow has a playful side and loves to race through his foster home playing games of chase with the other foster kittens as well as wrestling and pouncing to see if he’s the tougher kitten. When he’s ready for some down time he is happy to find his foster mom and spend some time getting pets and belly rubs while he falls asleep.

Though it will take a few days for Elric to adjust to a new family and home, his wonderful personality is worth the work to win him over. Elric will fit into almost any family with older children who will give him the space to learn to trust them.
