Background

Handsome Cooper was an unintended rescue when the RCR Community Cat Team was on the streets doing humane trapping and sterilization of stray and feral cats. This sweet fellow hinted at the potential for adoption and a family of his own, and our volunteers took the chance on Cooper.

Cooper didn’t disappoint. Shy at first and scared of other cats after his life on the streets, he had a bit of a bumpy road at first and had to overcome his shyness. Cooper prevailed in a big way, using his loud voice to grab one's attention, then reeling people in with cuddles and purrs. Cooper loves attentions and will be sure to let you know if he's feeling neglected. He can easily be won over with some soft food and some pets.

His time on the streets has left him positive for FIV, a disease seen in street cats that results from deep bite wounds. The good new is that FIV cats can live long and healthy lives with proper care. Please click here to learn more about FIV and decide if Cooper is the cat for you.

Please note: in the event there are multiple inquiries for a cat or kitten, Regina Cat Rescue will select the best suited home in the interest of a successful adoption.

Adoption fee: $140

All adoption fees and sponsorship donations contribute towards veterinary care and other costs associated with caring for Regina Cat Rescue rescued cats and kittens.
