Meet Velvet, a pretty 6 year old, silver, long-haired spayed and fully vaccinated female tabby.

Velvet was rescued last winter from an unsafe cat hoarding situation. Until she was rescued, Velvet spent her entire life living in an unhealthy hoarding environment with up to 30 cats at a time. Because of the bad conditions, mental instability of the people in the house, and lack of food and litter, Velvet needed a long time in foster care to learn that the world can indeed be a kind place for sweet cats like her.

But, she has made a terrific recovery from her experience and now enjoys being snuggled and petted by her foster mom. She is good with other cats and is a quiet, calm girl who will do best in a quieter home such as with retired person(s).
This beautiful and resilient cat is a joy to behold and will reward her adopter with tons of love and affection.
