Deceased 27 October 2009

This terrific male tabby is Rusty, a sweet 4-6 year old male found emaciated and dehydrated in a ditch outside the city. He was so thin when we rescued him that petting him caused him pain, even though he craved the love.

We placed Rusty in one of our amazing foster homes where he is well on the road to recovery and thriving on the TLC. He has been neutered, vaccinated and de-wormed and has been on a special diet, but he is now ready for his forever home. The best part of seeing Rusty recover is finally being able to hold him, pet him, and give him the love he deserves without causing him pain. He is friendly, loving and good with the other cats in his foster home. He is the first one to the door to greet visitors and rub against their legs, and he loves to be with people so will follow them around the house.

Rusty is a sweet and brave cat who has been through a lot but retained his loving spirit. PFA gave him a 2nd chance at life, now he just needs a loving forever home where he will never be faced with abandonment and starvation again. If you can offer him a safe home with lots of love, please contact
