Imagine life dealing you such a terrible hand that you had spent the winter sleeping in the wheel well of a truck and scavenging for food, well that's Axel's story. One of PFA's foster homes spent the winter winning over this sweet fellow's trust while he spent his nights sleeping inside the wheel well of her truck's tire trying to stay dry and out of the wind. After months of leaving food out for Axel and talking to him when he came around, the family finally won him over and he happily followed them into their house one morning!

Once inside Axel showed his softer side by lavishing love and affection on his rescuers. He enjoys being petted, getting chin scratches, and being talked to. He is currently at PetCetera in the communal room where he has quickly made friends with the other cats there. Whenever someone new comes into the room, Axel is one of the first cats at the door to greet them.

After spending the winter on the streets his fur is a little on the rough side, and he has a few scares to show how tough life was for him. However, Axel is ready to leave that life behind like a bad dream and join a family who will make sure he never spends another night alone.
