Background

Tux is a lovely and affectionate gal who was already spayed and microchipped upon coming into care. Unfortunately, Tux's owner had passed away and there was no-one able to take her and her siblings so they were placed into RCR foster care. RCR had Tux checked out by a veterinarian and the news was all good! Tux has been vaccinated and de-wormed. No ear mites were present and it is full speed ahead when it comes to finding Tux a loving forever home.

Tux is a lovely young cat who is very affectionate.  She loves pets and likes to follow her humans around.  Tux gives great head butts and has the cutest little meows - she's quite “talkative".  She loves catnip toys, particularly fuzzy mice and she likes to sit on the window seats and watch birds outside.  Tux will need a gradual introduction to other cats.  Even though she previously lived with other cats she still has a hard time with the resident cats in her foster home.  She is easily startled by them and growls and hisses at them when they get close to her.  Tux would do fine as an only cat.  She loves soft things and cat beds and also loves Churu Bites.

Tux's foster mom thinks her slowness to adjust to other cats is most likely a reflection of the amount of change she's experienced in the short time since her owner passed away.  Tux has great potential to make a loving adopter very happy!

Background

Karma is a stunning tortie who just happened in the right place at the right time on a cold winter day. A volunteer was out looking for another stray when she spotted little Karma sheltering under a shed, trying to keep warm. Cold and hungry, she got her Karma and was rescued and placed in foster care. Karma was a non sterilized kitten with no ID who was posted as found with no claims.

This gorgeous little girl has a beautiful coat with one little orange paw, and a teeny tiny orange tip on the end of her tail. Once Karma discovered toys, she was quick to demonstrate her love of playing. She carries her toy balls around the house in her mouth, throws them in the air, and chases them. She also loves chasing strings or shoelaces, and once she grabs it from you, she proudly carries the string in her mouth and walks around the house with it. Karma also loves to play with her foster parents. She chases them around the house and wraps her paws around their legs to catch them (she does this without her claws out)! She gives plenty of gentle love nibbles, especially when playing.

Karma loves to snooze in a nice soft bed or on a warm blanket and is the queen of her own biscuit factory. She keeps busy making biscuits throughout the day, purring the whole time. It doesn't take much to get her motor going! She is also a talented stylist - if your hair is not up to her standards, Karma takes it upon herself to lick it until she's satisfied

Karma loves being picked up and held like a baby and might even fall asleep in your arms! She has adapted very well to life as an indoor kitty and is definitely appreciative of her regularly scheduled yum yums. She loves to eat and gets very excited for treats and meal time. As soon as you tell Karma it's supper time, she's ready, waiting (and screaming) for her food. You can't get the food in her bowl fast enough! Like many torties, she exhibits her share of tortitude but her sass is quite endearing and entertaining. She's a little character who likes to talk to her foster parents and tell them stories. She enjoys standing at the top of her cat tree, looking out the window, and talking to anything that moves, sharing a wide variety of meows. Karma is also fascinated with the shower and will follow you into the bathroom.  She is being fostered as an only cat, so will need a gradual introduction to other pets, per best practices for integration.

Background

Samson may be a new rescue but he’s a familiar face to our community cat feeders who visited him regularly to provide fresh food and water at an outdoor feeding station. Samson was thought to be abandoned by his owners. He was posted on lost/found and with no claims and we are pleased to put this sweet, handsome boy up for adoption.

Samson is a wonderful cat who is truly grateful to be rescued and hasn’t stopped purring since he landed in foster care. He shows his appreciation for being safe and warm by head-butting your legs. Samson is a super cuddly cat who always wants pets and loves to curl up on his foster mom's legs. Most of the time he sleeps on the bed but he has also taken a liking to the highest perch on the cat tree. Samson is definitely food motivated. If you grab his bowl to fill it up he follows you meowing to make sure he gets the food! Samson is still learning how to play but has started to chase the cat wand. Samson isn’t sure of the resident dog in his foster home but has been able to cohabitate with her as long as she doesn’t get too close. He definitely keeps a watchful eye on the dog but after more time Samson will most likely realize that not all dogs are scary. Samson hasn’t been fully introduced to another cat but he is very interested in another foster kitty who is currently kept in a separate room. He will stick his paw under the door and hasn’t shown any obvious signs of aggression, so with a slow and proper introduction, he should do good with another cat as well.
