Overpopulation Crisis
The overpopulation crisis in Regina is a community based problem. It is the direct result of people not sterilizing their cats and letting them roam.
Sadly, it is the cats that pay the price of overpopulation. Too many cats and not enough homes for all of them means many are left to fend for themselves on the streets. A high concentration of cats means more competition for food and shelter, and an increased risk of disease and injury. Faced with harsh Saskatchewan winters, many of these cats suffer as they struggle to survive.
No rescue or shelter can do it alone. Everybody needs to do their part.
