BACKGROUND

Cheerio – The Happiest Little Floof Around ☀️🐾

Meet Cheerio (yes, like the cereal 😄), a fluffy tuxedo boy with a heart as big as his purr.

Cheerio came into Regina Cat Rescue care after being found living under a deck with his siblings, trying to survive a rough start to life. Covered in fleas and very shy at first, this sweet boy has completely blossomed with time, love, and patience. Now he’s ready to bring joy (and lots of purring) into a forever home.

This long-haired tuxedo is pure sunshine in cat form. If you so much as look at Cheerio, the motor starts running — he’s one of those rare kitties who seems permanently happy just to exist. He loves uppies but quickly turns into a total wet noodle in your arms, melting into you like the floppy floof he is.

Cheerio has some seriously adorable quirks too. After breakfast, while the other kittens are wrestling, Cheerio prefers his own special hobby — solo kibble hockey. He’ll grab a single piece of dry food, toss it around, kick it across the floor, and eventually eat it… unless it disappears under the oven first. Don’t worry — he’s still very cat-social and loves playing with other kitties (just not immediately after breakfast 😆).

This brave little guy is curious and adventurous. Cheerio has shown lots of interest in the outdoors, so a home with a catio or someone open to safe harness training would be amazing for him. He’s confident and willful in the best way, but so cheerful he genuinely doesn’t realize when he’s in trouble — he’ll just keep being happy! A patient human who uses gentle redirection and positive reinforcement will help him thrive.

Like his siblings, Cheerio loves cuddles and playtime with humans and other cats. He also enjoys grooming your fingers as a way of returning affection — though sometimes that love includes gentle nibbling. He’s currently in a “super cute chaos goblin” phase where unsocked toes are simply too tempting, so a home without very small children is recommended for now.

If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate, slightly goofy floof who will make you smile every single day, Cheerio might just be your perfect match.
