BACKGROUND

Meet Jack!  Jack is a five year old house panther who is truly a gentle giant.  He is also one of the longest cats we have met and can easily look on a counter with his back feet on the ground….like a fur covered slinky he extends to his full height!

He is a timid and gentle soul who just wants a warm home and a friend.  He was surrendered because he cried at night after the loss of his feline buddy.  He quickly clicked with our office cat and dog and has latched onto his foster mom with loyalty.  He is sweet and calm and prefers to hide out until he feels more comfortable.  Once he knows you are safe, he comes out for scratches and pets and will give very sweet head bumps of appreciation.  Jack also loves to be brushed!

Jack is also very smart.  He quite easily figured out how sliding cupboards work as he let himself in for a little nap.  And, when I didn’t let him out of the office, he showed me that he could work a door knob.  Clever boy!  He also will respond to his name being called and will run out to see you (if he feels safe).

Jack is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a loving home.  He would really enjoy a home with another cat friend would is also interested in a companion cat and playmate.  He would do well in a home with a dog as well, with proper integration.  If you like dogs but don’t have the time or energy for them, then a giant, smart house panther would be a great option. Jack responds to his name and loves to be brushed and pet and scratched. Loud noises make him a nervous but he is a lover, not a fighter . Jack also gets along with our office dog and cat and would likely thrive in a multi-pet household, with proper integration. Jack has really taken to his foster mom and won’t shy away from another female co-worker but he seems very fearful of men. A quiet lady who wants to be adored would be his perfect match, as long as she adores him back!
