BACKGROUND

Meet Shark – the shy sweetheart with a playful spirit and a heart of gold! 🦈💙

Don’t let the name fool you—Shark is more snuggles than scary! Born outdoors into a growing Regina Cat Rescue colony, Shark’s early days were spent with a feral momma as part of our TNR program. At just 8 weeks old, he and his sister were brought into care, and let’s just say… they were a spicy little duo!

Though wary of humans at first, Shark’s curiosity always got the better of him. He’d eye up hands with a mix of suspicion and interest, playing hard to get like a little feline flirt. With lots of patience and gentle encouragement, Shark finally decided cuddles weren’t so bad after all—and now he’s the first one to hop on the bed at night for some cozy snuggles.

Shark is still a bit shy with new people and will need time to adjust in a new home, but he’s a gentle, loving boy who thrives with feline companions. He loves to play—especially with spring toys—and nothing beats a game of chase with a sibling. Because of his quiet and sensitive nature, we strongly recommend he be adopted with one of his siblings or another gentle cat buddy to help him feel safe and confident.

Shark does well with other cats but would not do well with dominant or aggressive ones. He’s best suited to a calm, patient home that can give him the time and love he needs to truly shine. 🌙🐾

Shark is ready to trade in his shy guy act for a lifetime of love—are you the one he’s been waiting for?
