BACKGROUND

Meet Sputnik & KitKat – The Dynamic Duo of Love and Resilience

Though their beginnings were different, fate brought Sputnik and KitKat together at a young age—both dumped at a farm, both searching for safety and love.

KitKat, the brave little warrior, was found with a missing back foot and was quickly brought indoors—barn life just wasn’t safe for a kitten like her. Sputnik was originally pegged to be a future barn mouser, but he had other plans! It wasn’t long before the farm owner realized this cuddly boy was happiest curled up in a warm coat, purring away as chores were done.

Recognizing these kittens deserved more than farm life, Regina Cat Rescue stepped in to help. Once in foster care, their bond blossomed. KitKat faced a big challenge—her partial foot caused constant pain, and a full amputation was needed to give her the carefree life she deserved. Like a true champion, she handled surgery and recovery with grace—and hasn’t slowed down since! Keeping up with energetic Sputnik doesn’t leave her much choice.

KitKat is sweet, independent, and strong. She’s not a fan of being held, but loves curling up beside you, especially at bedtime, sometimes sneaking in a gentle face kiss. Sputnik, on the other hand, is all about action and attention—he’s curious, playful, always “helping” with your tasks, and might give a little toe-nip if you’re not giving him enough love. Pick him up and he’ll purr like a motor.

Together, they’re inseparable—sharing naps, toys (springs and tunnels are top-tier), and catio time watching the world go by. They bring joy, laughter, and love wherever they go. This adorable duo is ready to leap into a forever home filled with patience, cuddles, and plenty of playtime.
