BACKGROUND

Yuki is a resilient mama cat who has had a long journey to adoption. Rescued from a hoarding situation in the spring of 2023,Yuki came into care with a litter of 7 kittens and a red, weepy eye that was the beginning of her journey to good health. Diagnosed with eosinophilic keratoconjunctivitis, Yuki travelled to the vet college in Saskatoon and was prescribed a steroid medication to reduce inflammation (her eyes have fully healed) . It worked great, but Yuki became diabetic as a result of the high dose. It was a roller coaster ride to get her stable - but Yuki triumphed and is in diabetic remission.  It is being managed with some diabetic friendly kibble.

Yuki was an amazing mama to her kittens despite her rough start. The kittens have all been adopted and now it is her time to shine. Yuki is a very sweet and affectionate cat who loves to cuddle. She can be shy with new people but is quick to warm up and she enjoys attention and affection. Yuki follows her foster mom around everywhere and is an energetic young cat with lots of energy to play with toys and people alike. We want only the best for our sweet miracle girl, Yuki!
