FUNDRAISING BBQ - SOBEYS SOUTH ALBERT, SATURDAY, MAY 29

Please join us for a fundraising BBQ at the South Albert Sobeys on Sunday, May 29. PFA volunteers will be manning the grill and providing yummy burgers and hot dogs (including vegetarian options) to raise funds for our rescue operations. All money raised contributes towards veterinary care for rescued animals. We hope to see you there!

PFA 3RD ANNUAL RAFFLE

PFA is once again holding a fundraising raffle and this year, we have a fantastic list of prizes, including a SleepyPod pet carrier from Metro Pet Market, a pet photography package, fabulous gift baskets from Epicure, Gold Canyon and AngelWorks, plus gift cards for in-home massages and a tattoo from Planet Caravan. Tickets are $2 each and are going fast. Please contact us at saskpeopleforanimals@gmail.com if you'd like to buy tickets.

FOOD AND LITTER DONATIONS NEEDED

PFA is supporting a number of mamas with litters (including one litter of 7 kittens!) in foster care in addition to our usual volume of rescued strays. We are in need of kitten food, kitten milk, soft food and especially clumping litter. These donations are greatly appreciated as many of our foster homes are currently caring for multiple cats and kittens due to a lack of foster space. Tax receipts are available for donated food and litter.

SWEET SUCCESS STORY - BUDDY AND UGG

Our sweet and very loving pair, Buddy and Ugg, were recently adopted to a loving home after enduring a terrible ordeal in the winter cold. Buddy and Ugg are six-year old declawed cats that were abandoned in a barn and left to fend for themselves after years of being happy house cats. They didn't even have the most basic tools for hunting and self-defense - their claws! Fortunately a kind couple rescued and fostered them and their sad story quickly touched many hearts. They were adopted without even being advertised after their plight was made known on the PFA blog (http://pfasask.blogspot.com/) and are doing well in their new home.
