Background

Sammy was rescued by Regina's Community Cat team when he was trapped and taken to a vet clinic to be neutered as part of our Trap-Neuter-Return program. The team realized Sammy was a tame cat who would be better off in a home than on the street so he was placed into foster care. Unfortunately, being rescued from the street was not the end of Sammy's troubles. He suffered from a chronic ear infection that was determined to be the result of a polyp deep down in his ear canal. The polyp was removed by a surgeon at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, and after a year in care, Sammy is healthy and ready for a home.

Sammy did not let his troubles get him down. This friendly and interactive cat took it all like champ, from the months of daily ear drops, to the trip to Saskatoon, to the surgery itself. Sammy is happy to have it all behind him, though. This affectionate boy does great one on one but also adjusted well to the multi-cat foster home. Sammy is one of those special cats that had to endure a lot but continued to show his loving nature. He's now ready for a special family to love him forever.
