FOSTER HOMES DESPERATELY NEEDED FOR WINTER MONTHS

Our volunteers are busy getting as many cats and kittens as possible off the street before the really brutal winter weather hits. We are always in need of foster homes, in particular, foster homes that are willing to care for and socialize kittens born on the street. If you have some space in a spare room or basement, you could help us save the lives of cats and kittens who will otherwise be unable to make it through the harsh Saskatchewan winter. People for Animals will provide you with food and litter for your foster cats/kittens, vaccinations for cats you already have in your home, as well as any veterinary care the foster cats/kittens may require. If you are able to open your heart and home to a foster animal this fall/winter, please contact PFA. Thank you!

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR OUTDOOR CAT SHELTERS

As we all know, winter is a particularly difficult time for feral and stray cats on the streets of our city. PFA maintains a number of outdoor shelters for these cats, giving them access to food, water and shelter all-year round. However, maintaining food and water stations is a particular struggle in winter, as we need to ensure there are heated water bowls so cats do not become dehydrated (a common problem in winter on the streets).

To do this, we need extra-long extension cords so we may plug in the heated water bowls. We're happy to accept both new and used extension cords and heated water bowls, and gifts of Canadian tire money would be a great help as well.

FOOD AND LITTER DONATION DROP OFF AT GOLDEN MILE

If you are in the Golden Mile Mall, please consider making a donation of dog and cat food or cat litter in our donation bin located outside of Extra Foods. We are always in need of donations to support our valuable foster home network and to help maintain our feral feeding stations.

UNITED WAY DONATIONS TO PFA

October is United Way month and many workplaces are doing fundraising campaigns and there are usually incentives to donate. Now that People for Animals of Saskatchewan has charitable status, United Way donations can be designated for PFA. You just have to put our name and charitable registration number on your donation form. Our charitable registration number, should you wish to do this, is 899625990RR0001. Thank you so much for your support!

EVERYDAY STYLE PARTNERSHIP

PFA is busy raising funds this fall to help keep up our important work in helping stray and homeless cats and the Trap/Neuter/Release program for feral cats. We are sterilizing a record number of cats this year and every cent counts. We are pleased to be partnering with our friends and fellow animals lovers from Everyday Style, Avon, and Epicure for some great opportunities to shop for yourself and others and help homeless animals at the same time.

Currently, we are working with Everyday Style, a Canadian company that aims to help everyone show off their style, whether it's entertaining, cooking, dining, or decorating, Everyday Style has products that can help you express your personal style in ways that best reflect who you are. They also have some fun and fabulous Christmas stuff. Please visit the Everyday Style Website or contact alanna to request a catalogue. This is a very valuable fundraiser for us, so please consider it for your holiday, entertaining and decorating needs.

Please check our website and Facebook page for updates on our November fundraisers with Epicure and Avon.

Thank you for your ongoing support! PFA (and the animals) appreciate it! People for Animals of Saskatchewan
