Background

Pocus and her sibling Hocus came from a VERY busy location for rescues, especially kittens, during the fall of 2023. A private citizen with a feeding station reached out for help when they determined that they were feeding many mothers and kittens. Their mama cat was found deceased in the feeding station and was likely hit by a car but the little kittens were doing their best to survive. RCR lent them a trap and gradually Pocus, Hocus and 2 other siblings came into care several days apart. Pocus was placed into foster care with her sister, Hocus where she has proven to be a playful and curious young kitten who is gradually learning to trust people and enjoy human attention.

Pocus  is an adorable little gal who is in search of a forever home. She would love to be adopted with her sister, Hocus. Pocus really enjoys playing with her sister as well as the foster's resident cat. The immediate bond with the resident cat demonstrates their ability to get along well with other feline companions and a home with other cats would be a big plus. Pocus expresses affection through cuddling and engaging in playful running sessions with her furry friends. This delightful kitten has a fondness for various toys, including catching feather wands, playing with balls, and chasing laser lights. Her love of food and treats adds to her charming personality.

While Pocus is still in the process of building trust with people, she is making good progress. Sudden movements may startle her, but she will cautiously approach your hand and curiously sniff when you reach out to them. This cautious behavior indicates their willingness to connect and suggests the potential for deepening bonds over time. When it's quiet at night, Pocus likes to visit and explore the surroundings and is demonstrating a higher degree of comfort in her surroundings. Pocus is a bit more shy and gentle than her sibling, but she still loves to explore and play.
