Charitable tax receipts are issued once per year and will be emailed or mailed. Please send your contact information, any corrections, or address updates to treasurer@reginacatrescue.com or to Box 33066, Cathedral Postal Outlet, Regina, SK S4T 7X2.

Charitable tax receipts:

2023 charitable tax receipts for donations received before December 31, 2023 will be issued by the end of February 2024. If you’re expecting a receipt and don’t receive one before March 15, 2024 please contact RCR’s Treasurer with as much detail as you can. This includes the form of payment (cheque, cash, Paypal, e-transfer), the date you made the contribution, the event you were attending, and any other details that will help in the search for verification.

Gift in kind receipts:

With 2023 coming to a close, we want to remind everyone to please submit their eligible receipts for gift in kind tax receipts. Please review all your applicable receipts and mark the items donated on any invoice. Please use pen rather than highlighter as highlighter breaks down in time making the item difficult to read. Do not include any taxes in the total as they are not eligible for inclusion in a charitable receipt. If you have multiple cats in the house, some of which are your own, and you've purchased shared items for all of them (ie - litter, certain food, toys, etc.) please indicate how many cats were yours and how many cats were fosters at the time of the purchase. It is preferable if you could itemize items on a spreadsheet or document to enable easier data entry and tracking.  The tax receipt will be issued upon verification of the amount paid and department head approval. Original invoices for purchases slated for either donation or gift in kind can be mailed to Box 33066, Cathedral Postal Outlet, Regina, SK S4T 7X2, or they can be given directly to any board member or committee head to pass on to the Treasurer. We strongly encourage everyone to submit receipts via email wherever possible this year. Receipts can be scanned and emailed to treasurer@reginacatrescue.com.

A reminder that any vet bills paid directly by fosters must have been approved by the department heads, Alanna, Brayan, Sandra or Leanne, to be eligible for a tax receipt. Please note that ‘services’ are not tax receiptable only goods.  We will confirm every vet invoice with them before a tax receipt is issued.

Any charitable donations for the year that aren’t received before the deadlines can still be submitted but the charitable tax receipt will be dated for the 2024 tax year and issued in 2025.

All gift in kind receipts must be received by January 31, 2024, no exceptions. Any charitable donations for the year that are not received before the deadline can still be submitted but the charitable tax receipt will be dated in 2024 and issued in 2025. receipts will be emailed to donors in mid- to late February 2024.
