Background

Rita was dumped at a farm outside of Regina. She was heavily pregnant and gave birth to four kittens just two days after she was found. Luckily, a foster home was available and Rita and her babies were placed into Regina Cat Rescue foster care.

Rita is an excellent and doting mother who even "adopted" another young kitten and cared for him like one of her own. She gets along with the two adult resident cats in her foster home. Rita loves attention - she'll happily accept all pets, head scratches and cuddles on offer. She's a friendly cat who greets her foster mom at the door every day and welcomes her home with cute chirps and trills. Rita is a vocal cat who enjoys chatting and has some unique vocalizations. She's still very playful and enjoys gently wrestling with her kittens and interactive play with wand toys.

Rita's friendly, sweet and fun personality make her a great companion for any cat lover with love and energy to share!

Background

Dixie is a pretty young cat who was brought to Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) by a concerned citizen who found Dixie stray at a resort community outside of Regina and believed her to pregnant. Once in RCR's care, she was taken to the vet and we were shocked to learn that Dixie wasn't pregnant, but rather her swollen belly was due to being shot with a pellet gun.

Dixie is a sweet friendly girl who has made a full recovery and is doing well in foster care. She may have had a rough start but is definitely happy to be safe, warm and loved, and she expresses her gratitude with cuddles and purrs. She would make a great pet for any cat loving person looking for a friendly, interactive and loving cat companion.

Background

Barbie was a new mama when Regina Cat Rescue first helped her out several years ago.  She was found stray with a litter of kittens, and needed a safe place to look after her kittens.  Her foster family quickly became attached and adopter her and one of her kittens.  Unfortunately, their living circumstances changed and they were not able to keep their pets.

Barbie is a gentle, loving cat who makes friends easily with people and pets alike.  She would be excellent in a home with children and she can be held and carried like a baby, and she is very calm.  Her foster mom describes her as a great cuddler, and she’d also be a great cat companion for anyone looking for a furry friend so snuggle with on the couch.  Barbie enjoys soft and dry good, but isn’t overly fussy. She is always happy as long as she has someone to give her pets and chin scratches!
