A Most Deserving Rescue - Hugh!

Hugh is a wonderful cat who frequented a very busy Community Cat feeding station for over 2 years. A kind lady had been feeding him and said that this was the second winter that Hugh had been on the streets. She reached out for help with Hugh when she noticed a nasty wound on his leg that was causing him to limp and causing pain. Nevertheless, he always was happy to see her and accept some food. At this point, he was taken into care and we were fortunate that a foster home stepped up to care for him.

Hugh at vet clinic having injury assessed

Everything is coming up roses for Hugh since his rescue. He did have a bit of an ordeal with stitches, a drainage tube and a cone to help him recover from his injury. Hugh was a good patient but he did take some time to recover from his serious injury. Suture removal was delayed due to slow healing. Still, the sweet guy prevails!

This sweet and handsome fellow endured time on the street that no tame cat should have to endure. He has proven to be an incredibly sweet and grateful cat and we have high hopes that he will land in a forever home soon. Check out his cuddles with his feline friend!

We are grateful to Hugh’s rescuer and foster family for making his chance at the good life possible. As always, please visit the Regina Cat Rescue website to adopt, donate, or volunteer: Regina Cat Rescue
