Background

Rider and his mom and 3 siblings were rescued when a kind gentleman noticed Rider’s mom wandering stray in his neighbourhood.  He began to feed the momma and soon realized that she had a litter of kittens hidden under a nearby porch.  The homeowner was aware of the feline family but said they didn’t belong to them and would be happy if homes could be found.  The gentleman contacted RCR and the kittens and mom were scooped up and placed in a foster home.

Because Rider spent the first part of his life living as a stray he is slow to warm up to new people, however, his foster mom is working hard to show him how wonderful people can be.  Rider is a little unsure when he is first picked up, but once he’s cuddled in his foster mom’s arms he all about the snuggles.

When Rider first came into foster care he didn’t know how to play, now that he does know how to play, he can be found racing around his foster home, exploring every room, and turning anything he can into a toy.
