Background

Ivy is a beautiful young girl who was rescued from a hoarding situation where over 50 cats were living in a small home. She came to Regina Cat Rescue with her siblings scared, but brave.

Ivy is shy with strangers at first because she was not exposed to many people prior to rescue, but she has made great progress in her foster home. She enjoys pets and belly rubs once she gets comfortable. Playtime is important to her, she is a ferocious string and catnip mouse predator and could spend hours each day chasing them around. Post-dinner snuggles, be it on a lap or in a bed, are among her favourite things - both make her purr uncontrollably. She loves soft food and treats, which provide a quick way to her heart. She’s chatty and happily engages in conversations, answering each statement with a meow

Ivy is good with other cats and, although hesitant, seems to be dog-friendly. She would do best in a home without small children, with a patient adopter who is willing to spend some time getting to know her. Once she is comfortable she is playful, snuggly and a very sweet cat to have around, that is, unless you try and sleep past her breakfast time!.
