Background

Cecil is a sweet, gentle fellow who has been dealt a tough hand in life.  If cats could talk, we suspect he would have quite a tale to tell! This poor fellow was rescued at a resort community near Regina after spending the summer fending for himself until a kind family discovered him and stared feeding him. With the cold weather coming, they couldn't bear to leave him on his own for the winter with no resources so they took him home and contacted RCR for help to get him a home.

Once rescued and checked out by a vet, it became all to clear just what Cecil had been through as a stray. He had several broken teeth, a healed over fracture in his back leg, and rough, dry paw pads that caused him pain when walking. Worst of all, he was full of buckshot, evidence that this poor cat was shot more than once.

Despite all the trauma, Cecil is a happy, friendly boy who loves people and likes attention. He has been stealing hearts from the minute he came into care. He enjoys pets and cuddles and would be great as an only cat but has done well with the other cat in his foster home as well. He is just happy to be safe and warm, and have a full food bowl plus TLC from his foster mom!
