Background

Little Dixie found herself alone on the streets in the worst of the winter cold, hunkering down in a backyard shed to try and escape the cold. Luckily, she was spotted by a concerned citizen who contacted RCR for help to get Dixie off the street and into a caring foster home.

Dixie is a gentle and sweet young cat whose rough start in life has left her a bit shy with strangers. However, once she gets to know you, she loves pets and cuddles. Dixie adjusted well to life in foster care and gets along famously with the other cat in the home. Toys and treats are a sure way to win her heart, as long as you take it slow. This precious little girl has a lot of love to give. She would do well in a home with another cat or on her own with a patient person who will let her warm up at her own pace.
