Andy

Adopted May 23rd, 2011

Andy is an older male companion who did not expect to be looking for his forever home so late in life! Quite obviously a former house pet, Andy first made an appearance to a concerned homeowner in the summer of last year. Although shy at the time, he wore a collar and was neutered which meant he previously had a home. Andy finally came to the caring citizen January of this year, knowing he could not survive any longer on his own. Starving and half frozen at death's door, Andy allowed the homeowner to approach him and he followed her inside, eager for the food she was offering!

It took approximately 6 weeks for Andy to get back on his feet and with every day that passed his shyness was replaced with his truly loving personality. His foster mom says he is a delight to have around and that although he does not care for the aggressive tomcat in the home, he gets along well with the female cat and dog in the home. He is a loving and gentle cat who is clearly very happy to be cared for again by a loving family. He doesn't mind visits to the vet and loves to sit on his foster mom's lap while she works on the computer!

Andy does enjoy some outdoor time, but this is only encouraged under supervision or on a leash and harness. He is estimated to be approximately 6-9 years old, is vaccinated, happy and healthy! Would you like to be Andy's forever family for the many more years of love he has to offer?
