Amelia

Adopted April 18th, 2012

This exquisite beauty is Amelia, a 7 month old Himalayan X who was found Easter weekend when she turned up at a feral feeding station. Obviously tame she was scooped up and taken to the vet to check for a microchip or tatoo. Sadly for Amelia she had not yet been spayed and therefore no identification was found. Found ads were posted but no one came forward to claim this beauty.

Amelia has now been spayed, given her first vaccination, been de-wormed and treated for ear mites. Though this beauty has had a rough week she is settling into her foster home with the multiply foster and resident cats, along with the resident dog who is trying very hard to make Amelia he new best friend.

Amelia can be a bit timid around new people but absolutely loved her foster mom's 11 year old niece, coming out to climb in the little girls lap and be cuddled and petted while purring up a storm. When this sweet heart isn't winning the hearts of little girls, she is cuddled with her foster mom for lots of loving. Amelia can be vocal at times if she feels she's not getting her fair share of attention, but with 9 other cats in the house, she is learning to wait her turn. The one place Amelia doesn't wait her turn for cuddles is in bed at night. This doll insists on sleeping cuddled as close to her foster mom as she can get and sometimes even sleeps on her foster mom's stomach, all the while purring to show how happy she is to be cuddled and loved.

Amelia would do well in any home that is willing to give her the time to adjust, but would thrive as an only cat. If you are looking for a cat to claim you as their own and love falling asleep to the sound of a happy cat purring, contact Alanna at abanana71@gmail.com for more information.
