Fergie

Adopted April 8th, 2011

These recent People For Animals kitten rescues are Dewey and Fergie. These kittens were rescued the night of the big storm on the labour day week-end. Their mama disappeared and hasn't been seen since, and three of their siblings had already perished before two caring people managed to get to them.

The foster family quickly took the kittens into care and begun the tough task that is raising 2-3 week old kittens. These little kittens only survived due to dedicated bottle feedings, but they are thriving now.

The kittens have had lots of exposure to the small dogs in the foster home, and one of the resident females, Kit, took them under her wing and they are doing great. They get lots of handling and are already ahead of some of the older kittens in terms of socialization because of the bottle feedings. They are adorable and healthy.

The cutie featured in on this page is Fergie. Fergie is now 8 months old and has been waiting for a forever home for a long time! She is spayed, vaccinated and de-wormed.
