Prickles

Adopted May 21st, 2011

Meet Prickles, a handsome 3-year old black fellow who is neutered, vaccinated, and de-wormed. He has also been tested, and is negative, for Feline Leukemia.

Prickles was a beat-up tom bearing many scars from life on the streets when a kind cat lover took him in late in the fall. He had so many scabs and scars that his neuter had to be postponed twice to allow him time to heal and much of his fur was shaved to enable cleaning and treatment of his wounds.

Underneath his rough appearance, though, was a real sweetheart of a cat who is calm, affectionate and good with other cats. The lady that rescued Prickles loved him so much that she actually delayed a planned move for six weeks while she tended to his wounds and we waited for a foster care space to open up for Prickles

Prickles is currently doing very well in a multiple pet foster home that includes several cats and two dogs, and would be a great addition for anyone seeking a feline friend. He is an excellent companion who accompanies his foster mom wherever she goes in the house throughout the day. Like most rescued strays, he is just happy for a warm place to sleep, a full food dish (he loves his food!) and some human affection.

He would love to find a forever home that recognizes and appreciates his charms. For info on adopting Prickles, please email Alanna.
